Day 92 - Phoenix, Arizona

Oh boy, it was so nice to paint with my shirt off again! I almost forgot how the sun felt on my skin. Thankfully, Phoenix is always 60 degrees warmer than anywhere else on earth! Anywho, super stoked to make it so far, and get out of the mountains for a while. I’m genuinely impressed with Arizona in terms of natural beauty. There’s a lot more out here than what you see on the interstate! Skated from Phoenix to Buckeye. Stopped by Blind Tiger tattoo to drop off some stickers. I was able to skate mainly on sidewalk through Phoenix area. As I was heading out of town, it got pretty rough in between. There was tons of road work and not much care for pedestrians. I did 38 miles of skateboarding, and only about 200 feet of elevation gain. Super flat day. I was thinking of spending another night at my buddy's place, but chose to move forward. Left some art for him to mail out and gifted him and his grandma some mini paintings. I've been trying to work on making a solid plan for my westward push. The final few hundred miles of this trip are about to be some of the roughest skate days of all. Beyond just stressing on navigation, I've also been dealing with my shoes rubbing on my ankles and sweating through thin socks. Every push hurts, so I have been putting bandaids on to get some relief. I stopped at Walmart for mint chocolate protein shakes and mint protein bars, art supplies, etc... I should have gotten socks!
