Day 88 - Globe, Arizona

Day 88 was a tricky one, because I had been having issues figuring out how to navigate to Phoenix. I originally wanted to take I-10 across, but was worried I’d get kicked off the road, and stranded in the desert, therefore having to backtrack maybe 109 miles or so to make sure I complete the entire trip with my own strength, no cheating, no shortcuts! I wasn’t sure how long it would take me to get to another store that had the art supplies that I needed to create my paintings- so I decided to skate to WalMart in Globe, Arizona. This place is super hilly and after 12 miles of mountainous skating, it was time to eat, after eating, it was time to paint, after painting, the sun was down… and I didn’t want to take on 37 miles of mountainous skating roads in the dark, not knowing what I was getting myself into… And boy, was that the right call, because day 89 sent me flying down the mountains and these roads were insane!
