Day 77 Painting Across America got me stoked to chill for a minute. My new friend Pete invited me to West Texas Tattoo in El Paso, where I got to hang out at the shop, and chat with him and the owner. I found a cool little spot that overlooked some buildings and also had mountains in the background. I enjoyed this painting because it was a nice contrast between city and nature. I pushed an easy 20 miles for the day, checked into a hotel, and got dinner with my new buddy. We got to chat about all things art, and made the connection that we both had worked at the same shop in Phoenix Arizona at different times. He also was running a tattoo machine built by one of my coworkers in San Diego. It was a small world kind of conversation. It was a great break from the chaos of making this trip happen. I needed some real one on one homie time to relax my nerves. back at it tomorrow...
