Day 76 - Socorro, Texas

I made my way to El Paso for day 76. It was a short skate of 22 miles, and I was alright with it being a mellow one. The roads were trash and I think I found the worst drivers in the country here. I was legitimately afraid for my life on the shoulder of the road. I think it's because it is a border town, and everyone is used to the chaos of driving in Mexico- and I wasn't ready for that intensity. Not a cool place to be a pedestrian. I found a dirt walkway on the side of the highway the gave me a good shot of the mountains in the back, so I sat and painted the scene. There were nearly 5 accidents at that corner as I sat and painted. Seriously crazy drivers. I was looking up music and venues because I kind of wanted to go dance and socialize, but there wasn't anything fun going on so I took a walk to get snacks and hydration, and did some editing in bed. I had a tattooer reach out to me a couple weeks ago about linking up to hang out. We made plans for tomorrow so I'm excited for some social interaction.
