Day 68 - Pecos, Texas

Day 68 and I got to jump in a pool today! After over 2 months on the road, this was my first hotel pool, and it was incredible! I was a bit behind on my video edits, and feeling like I needed to put a little more time into sharing this experience with the people! I was feeling strong and committed to the mission, but what good is it if I can’t let the world see what we’re doing out here!? So despite my desire to push heavy again, I made the call to have a chill day and only skate a few miles, so I could take care of a few things in the digital realm. Between pushing towards the center of town, hitting the store for supplies, painting and everything else. I skated about 7 miles today, with virtually zero elevation gain. I looked on my maps to see if anything cool stood out for a scene to paint. I usually look for waterways and parks, and sometimes check out satellite mode to check what's nearby. I was surprised and amazed to find out that there was a Jet Plane around the corner from my hotel. I almost didn't believe my eyes when it popped up on my maps! I cruised to this Air Force Memorial Park, and had such a blast working on this piece. I am a firm believer that variety is the spice of life, and getting to switch things up from so many landscapes- really is a treat! I felt good about this day, but I had no idea what was in store for me up the road...
