Day 60 - Plainview, Texas

Day 60 tested me! I thought I had an easy, mellow skate ahead of me, but I was wrong. Everything was against me; I had terrible roads, there were strong gusts of wind blowing directly against my path, and there was no shoulder for a lot of the day. I kind of freaked out for a bit, and then had to laugh it off and accept my fate. A sweet little interaction at a cafe changed my mood completely. I met the ladies working at t roadside restaurant and cafe, and shared the mission with them, gifting a tiny painting as well. They were so excited that I came by, that we got some photos together, and they really brightened my day. Fearing it was going to be too windy to paint, I ended up finding a small concrete structure next to a reservoir that blocked the wind. I got to paint a small pond and some trees, and I felt relief that I didn't have to make art in my hotel tonight. 28.64 miles skated, and 210 feet climbed.
