Day 57 will for sure be a memorable one. I had set a checkpoint the day prior, and had the Deputy of Harmon County, Oklahoma bring me back to the drop off! We had some good chats about tattoos and native art, and hope to set up some tattoo work in San Diego after my return! Man, do I miss tattooing! This is the longest time I’ve gone without making a tattoo in over 15 years! I skated the 8 miles back into town, and before I got onto the highway, my board stopped dead. I picked it up and found a screw in my wheel! I was lucky that I was close to a store that I could borrow some tools to remove it! I pushed back on to make it Texas finally! Within 2 hours of being in the state, I had a rattlesnake lunge at me and try to bite me while I was skating! The roads are TERRIBLE! It's like they threw down some rocks and dropped some tar on it, borderline un-skateable. 47.85 miles and I made it to Memphis, Texas with a gain of 1198 feet.
