Day 29 - Gordonsville, Tennessee

I’ve been in Tennessee for a while now, and it keeps surprising me with its beauty! For day 29, I got to check out some more curvy hills in what felt like a jungle! As the trees faded behind me, the roads opened up to the cute little town of Gordonsville, Tennessee.
I got run up by so many dogs this day, probably because they aren’t used to people skating by! None of them seemed aggressive, just curious!
As most days have gone so far this trip, I was racing the sun to work on a painting, and I found an old barn that really caught my eye. While I was painting, I spoke with another gentleman named Hunter, a family that stopped to chat (and donate to the cause!), and a couple who ended up inviting me over for a home cooked meal!
This was the friendliest town I’ve visited so far, and I had a blast hanging with my new friends, Dustin and Alex.
The uncertainty of what’s in store for me on each and every day is what keeps things exciting, and the people I meet along the way are really helping to make this trip special and memorable! I made it just about 35 miles with an elevation gain of 1993 feet.
