Day 25 - Oak Ridge, Tennessee
All Profits go directly to the Pushing The Art Foundation *after production costs and taxes
Day 25 Painting Across America- I wanted to skate a bit further, but I had errands to run, like going to the post office to mail out art, and get new supplies. Handling some of these priorities slowed me down, and set me up with a mellow skate.
I found Oak Ridge to be a charming little town, and felt refreshed after buying some new clothes and eating some good food.
I got pulled over for skateboarding in the middle of the road in all black at night, and I understand why 🤣
It just felt so nice to cruise to dinner without a 20 pound backpack on, and I been conditioning myself to be hyper aware about cars!
The officers I spoke with just wanted to make sure that I was safe, and we had a good interaction! All of the law enforcement I’ve dealt with in this trip seemed to have been very cool and helpful.
Anywho, I found a nice little park to paint in before sunset, and had some great conversations with passerby’s. Mostly about how they also liked making art! It’s cool to go around doing my thing, and to feel like I give a little creative inspiration to people along the way!
I had an extra painting drop today, since I have been doing next day drops for a few days!
I’ve honestly been kicking myself for not filming more interactions with people, but I feel unless it’s organized and communicated properly, filming my talks will feel ingenuine and take away from the personal experience and soul to soul communication in this trip. Got about 19 miles in with 1,000 feet climbed.
