Day 20 Painting Across America made me do it!
I don’t mind it as long as I’m not totally soaked, and if there’s minimal traffic… but painting isn’t easy when it’s storming!
For day 20 I skated from Wytheville to Marion, Virginia about 26 miles total, and roughly 1200 feet climbed.
This day started with me needing to buy a new pair of shoes… I got some WalMart hiking shoes that looked to have good tread on them, but they didn’t even make it 48 hours. I got caught in the rain, and took refuge under the awning at a tiny airport. I took it as an opportunity to paint a statue that was on the property. I later finished the piece in my hotel at the end of the night.
