Day 17 - Lafayette, Virginia

Only made it 13.96 miles for day 17 Painting Across America. Since I spent some time up in the Blue Ridge Mountains. it was a short skate day. So glad to have had a day like this to laugh and play!
I was stoked to have a good buddy of mine reach out while I was passing through Virginia!
I had the opportunity to get a tour of his property, and spend a night and morning with him and his family!
My buddy Shaun and I grew up skateboarding together, and he was the one to give me my first tattoo. I had no idea that moment would change the trajectory of my life, and send me on my merry way into the world of tattooing!
We haven’t chatted much over the past few years, so it was great to reconnect and have some time to chill and rest up my legs! I just had to go to urgent care and get out on steroids and antibiotics due to my hornet attack and resulting infection, so the timing was ideal to take it easy for half a day.
We cruised up through Floyd county and I got to check out the views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. After getting a few meals and a cozy place to rest, and some fun on the property, I had to skate on…
I made it down to Lafayette, Virginia where I found some old farming equipment that was screaming at me to be painted like one of my French girls. I can’t hold myself back from a damsel in distress, so I kindly obliged.
