Day 15 - Buchanan, Virginia

Day 15 was a long one! Despite the hornet attack from yesterday, I was feeling good, and wanted to get some miles in. I didn’t think I was allergic, but apparently when you get 7 of them to gang bang you, your body gets a bit unchill about the whole ordeal. I hit my 36 mile mark and got into a town that had no hotels... So I had to push forward into the night on some windy highway roads.
Day 15 was a fun skate, and an even more fun Painting! I felt like Popeye with my massive forearm, and by the time I wrapped up my skate, my Cankle was super swollen too.
I think I learned my lesson on abandoned buildings for this trip… next time I’ll go with a slower friend who can get eaten alive by the evil hornets ready to feast on human flesh.
Anywho, this painting was a fun one, and I was stoked to make it 45.53 miles on my skate from Lexington to Troutville, Virginia. Elevation gain was 2,637 feet for the day, and I feel like the hornet stings made me forget my feet hurt at all.
