Day 12 - Orange, Virginia

2749 feet of elevation gain on a skate that was over 50 miles today! Had a little glitch in my navigation, but after reviewing my route, I can say 52 miles is a good number (though it was more like 60 with all the turns and pit stops) I was getting bummed that I wasn't making enough forward progress due to rain, traffic, and rough roads. This night, I decide to take a second push after skating roughly 25 miles- and that allowed me to get the furthest push so far. I got a light to throw on my bag, and a headlamp as well to light up the roads. If you've never done it, I highly recommend blasting through the mountains in the dark on a skateboard- because it is exhilarating- though it is quite a work out! Stoked on the long haul for the day, and feeling motivated to get some distance!
